Stockbroker

A registered member of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (i.e. a stockbroker) can carry out your buy or sell order through the JSE's trading system. As with any share transaction, your stockbroker will find a sell order in the market that will match against your buy order. Where the market does not provide an instance match, our market maker will provide liquidity, thus ensuring there is always a counterparty to either buy or sell any of our ETFs you are trying to trade.

Still not sure?

For investors who feel more comfortable getting advice it might be a better option going through a financial advisor, the benefits of which include:

  • You have a financial professional guiding you in making investment decisions
  • You have one person you can go to get information and advice concerning your investments
  • It's convenient. You don't have to spend time doing research and executing trades – someone is doing that for you
  • You have (or should have) an unemotional, third party advising you, helping you to leave out emotions of your investment decisions.

This option is generally the most expensive route due to the fees you pay for this advise, but is often worth it.
